Truck UK Online Associates
Advice and information
Truck UK always aims to provide a top quality service to everyone we work with, while at the same time striving to reduce their overall costs. Over the years we have built up a store of advice and information documents and procedures that have proven useful to our clients and, just as importantly, have been accepted as fit for purpose by the relevant authorities.
So, we've decided to provide some of the resources we have produced to anyone and everyone who visits our site and wants to use our advice notes and information sheets to their own advantage. Therefore, online associates are able to view and/or download a wide range of A4 sized information sheets that should be useful to both drivers and traffic office staff alike. Furthermore, if an online associate wants an existing electronic document tailored to their own personal requirements we will be happy to do that as well, at no charge.
If you sign up at the bottom of this page you will be able to access the closed area of the website. There is no fee or cost involved and you are free to use any or all of the documents available. At the moment it is simply a 'folder' web page that contains several folders of pdf documents that you can use as you feel fit. In time we would like to offer more....... but for now that's it!
Practice and procedures
The day to day operations we carry out involve delving into the problems that operators face and then attempting to provide them with solutions to improve the situation. Obviously the majority of this work is specific to the individual operator and confidential. But, on many occasions we implement fairly minor changes to common practice and procedures that are then found to give benefits, both in better compliance and also economically. It is this non-specific information that we will be providing to online associates in the form of case studies or advice notes. Again online associates can view and/or download and use these notes as and when required.
Auditing tips
Our core business is to provide standards and procedures audits. These cover the complete operation, including maintenance systems; maintenance documentation; drivers’ hours and record keeping; employment records (most importantly driving licences and mandatory qualifications); health and safety (including risk assessments) and any other specialised area of the organisation that the operator believes needs auditing.......or the Traffic Commissioner has 'suggested' at Public Inquiry needs independently auditing!
Audit check sheets and other documents will be made available as and when we produce them.
Toolbox talks/Driver CPC periodic training
If a company does not have its own HR or training department Truck UK can provide regular 'live' toobox talks to all types of staff, both on a one to one basis to improve someones individual requirements or in group sessions. We also provide in-house approved modules of Driver CPC periodic training to client companies.
During these sessions we provide laminated handouts and online pdf formatted copies are freely available to online associates. Again, if you see an information sheet that you would like to use, but it doesn't quite cover your own requirement, let us know by e-mailing Steve Williams at: sdw@truckuk.net and he will produce a personalised electronic copy for you to use, at no charge to you.
Specific requirements?
In fact if you have a particular need for any sort or type of document or procedure and you haven't got time to consider and then produce it, let us know. We are keen to assist any operator in improving their procedures, so we'll do the stuff you haven't got time to do.....as long as you allow us to share the finished idea with other online associates. Just e-mail Steve Williams at the address given above and let him know what you're looking for.
Interested? If you are prepared to provide us with your basic contact details, in effect your name; company name and e-mail address, we will provide you with the various compliance tools mentioned, above at no cost to you. Obviously we hope you will find the online advice and information useful and consider using us in the future, should you want more specialised products or services. But, in the meantime we look forward to welcoming you as a Truck UK online associate and we hope that, between us, we can improve your compliance ... while reducing your costs.
