Truck UK provides industry best practice maintenance audits; tachograph records processing and analysis; driver and management training and a whole host of other services, designed to ensure client compliance.
One of the best independent compliance advice organisations in the United Kingdom, Truck UK is totally focussed on improving and maintaining high levels of compliance for client companies, while at the same time reducing their overall costs.
Over the last six years Truck UK has built up a package of services through the Operator Compliance Scheme (OCS), developed specifically to fulfil the needs of small to medium size operators who need the day to day support of a specialist provider of compliance advice, information and services that they can rely on.
Truck UK is a totally independent service provider organisation that only employs specialist and experienced staff who know the industry that they are involved in. When clients require expertise that Truck UK does not possess we source other top quality organisations who we continuously monitor and audit, thereby acting as guarantors for their services. We believe our best practice approach of only providing quality services that can be trusted is the reason we have been able to build our retained client base year on year.
Fenland First Aid provide a one-day emergency first aid at work (EFAW) course on behalf of Truck UK that is JAUPT approved (CRS5793/14) and presented by Deborah Slator, recognised as one of the top first aid trainers in the country. Learners not only gain DSA registration against their Driver CPC requirements when they attend this course, but they also receive an HSE certificate valid for three years. This is a course that provides life skills that are invaluable. The maximum number of learners that can attend this course is twelve, whereas all our other approved courses can be presented to twenty delegates. Maintenance Systems, Maintenance Documentation and Vehicle Inspections Audits
A large part of our operator compliance scheme (OCS) package concentrates on designing, producing and implementing best practice procedures to enable operators to attain high levels of compliance. To ensure standards are not allowed to slip we continue to work with OCS users by carrying out regular audits. This is all part of the OCS package.
However, all operators can take advantage of our maintenance auditing service, whether they sign up to OCS or not. We provide maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and vehicle inspection audits as accepted as suitable to fulfil an undertaking entered into with the Traffic Commissioner. This service normally takes approximately one day and the fee is £385.00 + VAT. For further information freephone 0800 644 87 87 and ask to speak to Steve Williams, or e-mail and leave your contact details and he will contact you. The e-mail address to find out more about the audit service is: firstname.lastname@example.org
Goods Vehicle Operators - One Day Operator Awareness Courses
Each individual and/or organisation we work with is treated in the same way, in that we work with their best interests at the forefront of everything we provide.
All our staff are experienced and qualified in goods vehicle licence operation. Furthermore, their knowledge is up to date and we invest heavily in ongoing refresher training to ensure what we say and do can be relied upon to be accurate. If we don't know the answer we will admit that we don't know and then do our best to find the correct answer and provide it to the client.
To assist operators to keep up to date and compliant we regularly provide a one-day Operator Awareness Course, both open-to-all courses regularly presented in Ipswich, Peterborough and Radlett (£195.00 + VAT per delegate), as well as 'in-house' courses that can be attended by up to five of the operators staff for a single cost of £385.00 + VAT, on a date and at a venue to suit the operator. This type of course has proved particularly popular with operators' that have entered into an undertaking with their Traffic Commissioner to refesh their knowledge of their obligations. To give even more benefit to operators and their managerial staff that wish to be able to drive professionally after September 2014 we have had this course approved by JAUPT (Approved Course No: CRS5794/184) and so attendance can be regsitered with DSA against the delegates Driver CPC requirement.
Transport Managers - Two-Day Transport Manager Refresher Courses
We work closely with Transport Managers who have been nominated on standard licences and we have a large number of restricted licence holder clients who we provide regular services to. A popular course that we provide both in-house at a venue supplied by the client to up to five delegates (for a single fee of £660.00 + VAT) and also at our training venues in Peterborough, Ipswich and Radlett (£315.00 + VAT per delegate) is our two-day Transport Manager Refresher Course, suitable to fulfil an undertaking entered into with the Traffic Commissioner at Public Inquiry. This course covers all the topics within the Operator Awareness Course in even greater detail and then time is spent working through every aspect of the responsibilities and obligations of being a nominated transport manager, leaving delegates in no doubt as to the meaning of continuous and effective control of the transport and just what depth of knowledge and understanding they must have. The course includes a 'mock' PI that often brings home to attendees the seriousness of being 'called up' and just how they may be dealt with should they be unfortunate enough to fall foul of the TC's.
Vocational Drivers - Approved Driver CPC Periodic Training Courses
Since October 2012 we have found the uptake of approved Driver CPC periodic training has increased by 60% month on month since we became approved to present training to commercial vehicle drivers in 2009. We are approved Driver CPC training centre number AC00184 and currently have a wide range of approved courses available that were most recently approved by JAUPT on 15th March 2013. Training is delivered mainly 'in-house' to client companies, although throughout 2013 we are committed to regularly providing 'open-to-all' courses on at least two Saturdays and one Wednesday in every month, from training venues in Ipswich, Leicester, Peterborough and Radlett.

Module 2 Vehicle Maintenance Standards
Module 3 Safe Loading

We regularly review the package of courses we can provide and are always keen to work with operators to put together training that is useful and relevant to the type of work they specialise in. We are happy to design, produce and send for JAUPT approval any course that may both assist a particulr client and also enable us to offer that course to others that work in the same field.
